"I arrived arr. 1pm, much earlier than normal hotel checkin time. As I came from West coast USA, I was exhausted due to time difference and having not a good sleep before the day, just about to collapse. The young lady led me to a back room as my room-to-be was not cleaned yet. It was not a usual guest room, a kind of a special room with sofa. I just fell in sleep on the sofa until she came to get me. Because of that short sleep, I could get my normal sense back. This hotel is close to the sea....

"Very comfortable, nice to have an onsite restaurant. Great breakfasts. Staff were very accommodating. Nice furnishings in the room - modern bathroom. I left my jacket in the wardrobe and realized 4 days later! I emailed and received a quick response. Housekeeping had it and it was posted to me the next day. Thank you so much!"

"We spent a delightful six nights at Victoria House. The owner, Jan, was a gracious and very helpful host. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. No breakfast was served, but there are many excellent breakfast spots within a five minute walk. And the room came with ground coffee and a French press coffee maker, plus excellent snacks. The location within the old city walls and adjacent to the sea is perfect. "
