"I recently stayed at the San Juan Marriott Stellaris Hotel & Casino and would give it an overall rating of three stars. It’s a solid property in a great location, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what kind of experience you’re looking for.
The hotel advertises a children’s pool, which naturally led me to believe there would also be a separate adults-only pool. That isn’t the case. While there are two pools, they connect, and the entire area is open to guests of all ages. If you’re expecting a quiet adults-only space, you won’t find one here. The overall vibe is lively and social rather than serene. There is also a swim-up bar where guests gathered for activities like bingo, which actually looked like a lot of fun and added to the energetic atmosphere. The atmosphere felt more lively and party-oriented, especially in the afternoons when the music becomes extremely loud — louder than necessary, in my opinion.
On the positive side, the beach setup was very nice. Staff members help you set up chairs, towels, umbrellas, and a small table wherever you’d like along the beach, which was a lovely touch and made the experience feel more upscale.
The room itself was a decent size and perfectly fine, though nothing particularly special. There were a couple of maintenance issues: the sliding bathroom door was difficult to operate and actually came off its track at one point (though to their credit, maintenance fixed it very quickly).
