  • Let me preface these discoveries by saying that I ended up in Calella haphazardly. It is not necessarily a town that I would generally recommend. It is not your traditional Spanish/Catalan dream destination. It very much looks like something the 70's spit out and no one ever bothered to clean up. With that said, I freaking love this little freakish town, which I quickly & affectionately nicknamed "The Twilight Zone." The strangest occurrences happened throughout the month, yes MONTH, I lived in Calella. Apparently since the 70's, Calella, was a booming tourist destination for Western Europeans and the British. It has been on a massive decline over the past decade. What's left behind though are some fun Dutch and English/Irish pubs, a small welcoming expat community, and one of the most incredible beaches you will ever lay your eyes on. Beautiful clean white sand for miles and crystal clear turquoise water. Parties & bars on the beach, some free concerts in the summer time and of course drinking it allowed as well. If you happen to find yourself here, you must stop in at Beach Boys Club, tell the owners, Brian & Cathy, that Amber sent you. Then hit up Brian for his secret stash of American imported Budweiser (Did you know the bottled stuff is always produced in country? Brian believes the secrets in the water, so he gets the cans from the US. Brian is British, which makes this little story even better.) Also, be prepared to eat a lot of rotisserie chicken.

Hôtel bien situé proche de la plage et de la rue commerçante. Seul point positif ! Très bruyant et inconfortable. Confort très rudimentaire. Petit déj inexistant !

La estancia fue horrible. Un muy mal olor a cloaca sumidero en la habitacion que venia del cuarto de baňo. A mas disponia de una nevera qie hacia mucho ruido y que tuvimos que desenchufar. Y no pudimos reclamar nada en recepcion estaba cerrada, asi que si tenian conocimiento de esto cosa que no pongo en duda es muy grave.

Gros laisser-aller

Lit double cassé, remontées d'odeurs (urine) dans la salle d'eau. Heureusement, nous n'y sommes resté qu'une nuit. Sur le site de réservation il était mentionné petit-déjeuner compris mais ce n'est pas le cas, il y a juste une cuisine à disposition.

Well priced, full of fun and groups of youngsters when we were there. So a great atmosphere overall. Very helpful friendly at reception. Room could do with a painting but its not too bad. Overall would stay again. Calella worth a visit. Thumbs up

Хороший хостел, но с оплатой надо быть внимательне

Хостел в общем неплохой, посетителей очень мало, по этому в 6-местном номере все время я находилась одна. Но при этом оплату приняли наличными при заселении и сняли с карты!! Персонал ресепшен, одновременно, оформляет посетителей, принимает плату за проживание(без чеков) и чистит окружающую территорию - т.е., "мастера на все руки"

Puntos negativo: - Hay una ranura de 3-5 cm entre la puerta y el suelo, con lo que se podía oír todo desde dentro o desde fuera. - Solo había 2 temperaturas posibles: calor infernal o frío polar.
