Safari Tentalow in Canton of Obwalden

"This is a gem. We plan to stay again in the future. The service was professional, friendly, and expedient. Breakfast was amazing and the options were good. The lounge where breakfast is served stays open all day with coffee, tea, and water available. It is a lovely space you'd want to spend time in. There's even a small balcony if you prefer the city view. The room was great. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The bed was comfortable and all amenities were available. We found some English speaking channels on TV. The hotel is located very close to the train station, shops, eateries, and city life, yet the area was not noisy or congested. We were able to roll our luggage to the hotel and felt very safe in the evening. They gave us great directions to the grocery store to pick up distilled water, after checking to see if they had some on hand. The grocery store Coop is in an underground mall below the train station. We easily walked there to pick up a few snacks. The pistachio Croissants were very good, and we grabbed a few more on our way out the next day. We were given free bus passes and suggestions for sightseeing. They were able to accommodate a late check out. Everyone was very friendly and eager to serve with a smile."

"The location is so convenient - 5mins walk from the train station. The staff checked me into a room with a view and it made the stay so memorable. The fitness facilities and sauna were of international standard. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and the bed soo comfortable. If you’re looking for a hotel away from the business of Old Town, then this one will suit."

"Overall very positive experience, reception staff were very attentive and went out of the way to accommodate our earlier check-in. The room was really nice and clean, and we ended up staying in the hotel which was a bonus! Breakfast staff, particularly on Sunday morning, unfortunately did let the staff down, as they came across quite rude and unfriendly. "

"Room was clean and decent in size. You can open your luggage and pack at ease. It’s at a convenient location and getting around by foot brings you to the lake. It’s near to other beautiful places. Breakfast was amazing too! Appreciate the fresh lemon, ginger and honeycomb - bonus!"
