The negative views of this property all say the same thing: the customer service is not good and the cleanliness/maintenance of the property can be improved.
1 there was litter on the pathway outside our property all the time we were there;
2 the breakfast room staff acted as though they didn't want to be there. It frequently took 10 to 15 mins to get water and an additional 10 mins to get coffee/tea;
3 A la carte breakfast orders were uneven. We were initially told we could order something for our son that we could take up to him. The next day we couldn't;
4 one day, we were sitting outside on the patio. It began to rain lightly but that was not a problem as our table had a large umbrella/sombrero (as did others). I went inside to get some buffet items. When I came out, my husband was sitting in the rain. It emerged that a Spanish family asked for an additional umbrella and the server, without saying a word, took our umbrella to give to them. My husband was the only Black man sitting at breakfast that day. I don't want to jump to conclusions but it is difficult not to in the circumstances.
When I objected to the way we had been treated, all of a sudden, we were allowed to order another take-away item for our son.
5 The gym at the hotel was not maintained. On successive days, there were no towels and on at least one day, there was no water. When I went to the reception to ask for them to replenish them, they seemed surprised to be asked.
