Great three- night stay

The reception staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring Cape Town and was safe. The only downside is that rooms that face Table Mountain are noisy at night as they are on a busy street and the window soundproofing is not good.

The staff were fantastic and helped us with many aspects of our travel. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The Cattle Baron restaurant was great. We didn’t eat at the rooftop restaurant, but we did see the view, and it was beautiful. We will stay in this hotel next time in Cape Town!

By far, this was one of the best places I have ever stayed while travelling (and I travel a lot!). The General manager (Mitch!), the front desk staff, porters, front door staff, cleaning staff were all amazing. It felt like we were staying with friends who really cared about us and went above and beyond to make our stay special. I highly recommend the Capital Mirage!

All good, just don’t be fooled by the pictures. There is NO pool, maybe i just did not read the description properly….rest is all good, breakfast is rather basic, but sufficient. Staff all super friendly. Clean.

The staff is very accomodating and friendly and making you feeling welcome and “home”. Everybody will feel like a valued guest here! And they have the best roof top restaurant in town with the most amazing view. Just push the button in the elevator and you’ll be there….

Excellent in every way

Excellent, friendly staff and the most beautiful suite with a huge balcony. Great breakfast options just across the road (both were fab) and well located if you don’t mind a 20 minute easy walk to the waterfront. Alternatively Uber is simple to use all over the city and very reasonable. Highly recommend the Capital Mirage!

Great location, great breakfast

We stayed five nights and this was an amazing experience. The breakfast has a mix of buffet options as well as hot plates you can put in an order for. Very healthy and varied foods to choose from. Room service did our laundry and hung it on a rack. The following day they had folded our clothes and neatly stacked them on the sofa. There are many things to do in the area and the buzzing V&A Waterfront is only around 20 minutes (on a slow and enjoyable walk) from the hotel. The staff was very sweet. The TV did not offer many channels, which was fine with us since we do not watch it that much especially on vacation but this could be slightly improved for those who would like to watch local TV stations. Totally recommend staying there.

A few glitches

Pictures show a deck pool. There is no pool. We used the app to auto-check in. The room allocated was terrible. Air-con did not work - no view - we looked straight into a parking lot. However - once we complained, the manager was amazing. We were moved to a suite with an amazing view. The Vue - restaurant on the top floor with a deck, and amazing views over the Coty and Table Montain - was stunning. The food was top-notch.
