"Big Mahalo to the staff at Royal Kona Resort. We were greeted by a friendly team member at the front desk and pleasantly surprised that they upgraded our room and provided a bottle of champagne as it was our wedding anniversary. Rooms do feel a bit dated and the resort buildings are undergoing a much needed facelift. None of that detracted from our stay. Excellent location with plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping in very close walking distance. Big shoutout to Autumn at the Don’s Mai Tai bar in the hotel. She provided excellent service and was engaging in our many visits…and she makes a fantastic 1945 Mai Tai. Absolutely a great experience and I would not hesitate to stay here again. "

Barbara is a wonderful host, the breakfast is organic and delicious, the views are gorgeous, and the grounds are truly magical. It’s perfect for families who love nature but also comfy beds and running water! We will be back for sure and next time we’ll stay longer :-)"
