We had a WONDERFUL stay, rooms were comfortable and super clean!! You cannot see the ocean from the surfer room, but there is a wonderful outdoor kitchen/Lanai just up the stairs where we could see a mildly obstructed view of the ocean. We will def be back!

This was the perfect oasis for our brief stay in Kona. Far enough away from the crowded downtown area but still super close, we love the room, the beach access, and the convenience. Very quiet area, and tastefully decorated and clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Surfer Room - a great little place

Our room and bathroom were super clean and tidy. It seemed the entire property was maintained in excellent condition. We arrive at night and were surprised to see how close to the beach we were in the morning!

Perfect base for Big Island exploration

Lovely stay, walking distance from Kahalu'u beach park (so you can avoid parking fees), and we appreciated the use of beach/snorkelling equipment. The balcony and other amenities were lovely, we would recommend staying here.

Spent a weekend Kona side because a friend flew in. Communication was good, room was clean, all necessities provided, comfortable bed, easy entry on check in. Would definitely stay again for a affordable get away spot.

Our room was quiet with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the ocean with also the sounds of the ocean waves. The staff was responsive and friendly. So close to Kahalu’u Beach Park with wonderful snorkeling. The room does not have air-conditioning, but it has wonderful louvered windows and a ceiling fan, and also a room fan which we didn’t need in February.

Clean and comfortable and a quick walk to a nice snorkeling beack and rental bikes. Washer & dryer on premises. Parking is free, but spaces are very small. Can hear the surf all night (no a/c but it isnt necessary). Outdoor kitchen for bbq etc. About 4 mi from all the hubbub in old Kona-town. Would definitely return to this place!

Tucked away with a great view.

A little off the beaten path and extremely quiet. We had the aloha room with a nice balcony and ocean view. Big enough for the two of us and very comfortable. Affordable in comparison to other hotels. Close to the Outrigger where they have the Manta ray night tours.

1 block to ocean, very clean and cute and quiet. On Ali i drive, so easy to get into Kona. Microwave and fridge. Open air through screens so bird noise in the morning gets you up, but at a reasonable hour. And you want to get going anyway. Would stay here again. Good value

In Hawaii and not resort

Nice conditions to enjoy Hawaiian life and not isolated resort life. All fine: location a short walk to a good snorkel beach, popular with locals and surfers to mingle and join. Roomy, nice lanai with partial view to sea. Nice facilities and common areas.

Overall, it was a good little place. However, not to be nitpicky, it didn't have a sofa and the bathroom requires leaving the room. Not the end of the world, but a consideration when choosing a room. I didn't care for it. Close to to the beach, a nice bar and restaurants nearby. Clean. The staff forgot we were coming (surprise!) When we arrived, but seemed like a nice kid.
