First things first, poor planning on my part and not understanding the geography of the island. This hotel is in Castries and a lot of the more toruist centered activities are in Soufriere. These cities are an hour away on some very curvy roads, so don't make the mistake I did! The hotel did look very nice and had a nice view of the ocean, but I think the best part of the hotel was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help. They were even completely understanding when we left only after a night, though we wish we could've gotten a partial refund Cons: -Hotel room was alright, very spacious, but kind of felt run down. The room smelled like mildew, the entire shower had some sort of film of grime on it. We got a king room, but it was just 2 twin mattresses put together -Another first time international traveler mistake: The room had no outlets for US. The hotel did give us one, but in a tech centered world, it's hard to keep devices charged when you have to rotate out chargers -Finally the worst thing was the food. Pizza from the snack bar was good, but the buffet was terrible, which is bad considering it's kind of the main food choice. The food was bland at best, but overall not good. Dinner started at 630 and we got there 15 minutes after but the food tasted like it had been sitting there for hours -The night we stayed, they had karoke at the rooftop bar. It went on pretty late at night and we could hear it clearly, but our room wasn't that close to it

Our stay at the Bel Jou Hotel in Castries, St. Lucia, was absolutely AMAZING. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and a refreshing drink, setting the stage for a wonderful vacation. The hotel, perched on a hillside, offers stunning views of the lush landscape and the Caribbean Sea. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a balcony that provided breathtaking views. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights. The all-inclusive dining was a highlight, with a variety of delicious local and international dishes at the Verandah Restaurant. We also enjoyed the intimate setting of the rooftop restaurant, where we savored amazing meals with panoramic sunset views. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and the nightly entertainment added a fun touch. The staff at Bel Jou truly went above and beyond. Their friendliness and willingness to assist with any request made our stay feel special. The amenities were fantastic, from the tranquil pool surrounded by lush gardens to the relaxing spa and engaging activities like yoga and cooking classes done by the hotel. Bel Jou Hotel is a hidden gem, perfect for anyone seeking relaxation, romance, or adventure. We left feeling rejuvenated and eager to return. Highly recommend!

Dean, Sam, Kenny, Brendan & Nicole just to name a few AND the entire staff were kind welcoming and accommodating. The Hotel was peaceful, tranquil & most importantly safe and comfortable. The food was Amazing! I look forward to coming back soon!

It was extremely quiet. No music playing in most areas and where it was playing it was barely audible. The staff varied between welcoming and straight up rude. Had one staff member rant for about 10 minutes about my outfit being inappropriate infront of my face (it was a swimsuit cover up at the pool on an adults all inclusive hotel). The food was good but there are periods of time where there’s no food service. If you are under the age of 30 would highly recommend another resort. Leaving the resort costs a lot of money (nightlife and beaches outside of the beach offered by shuttle which is extremely quiet and nowhere near the quality of the rest of the beaches on the island). For an all inclusive this was frustrating.

I recently stayed at this all-inclusive hotel with friends to celebrate my birthday, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing—there was a great variety, and everything was delicious. The staff were all incredibly pleasant and helpful, with a special shout out to Mickey, Javier, and Princess, who made our stay even more memorable (wish I remembered everyone’s name). For my birthday, I made a reservation at the Hummingbird Restaurant, and they went above and beyond by decorating my table and surprising me with a complimentary cake. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture that made my day even more special. Our room was kept spotless by the housekeeping team, who did a fantastic job cleaning daily. The property itself is well-maintained and very clean, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights was the complimentary shuttle service to and from the beach and the town area, which made exploring the area so convenient. They also offer a shuttle service to the Friday night street party for a fee, which was a fun experience. The hotel provides daily entertainment that strikes the perfect balance—relaxing, not overwhelming, but just enough to ensure you have a great time. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a place to unwind and enjoy yourself. I would definitely return!

Spent four nights at Bel Jou in early August. It was a really nice vacation for my girlfriend and I. The Caribbean night on the first night was a welcomed touch, especially the fire dancers. The mix of food on all of the nights was well appreciated and the fine dining was really nice as well. I was a bit skeptical about the self service bar, but it was really great to serve myself the drinks as strong as I wanted. Overall, I would stay again.
