"Location and quality of the build is what holds this rating to just OK. I-5 is extremely loud… only a few feet from the hotel. The walls are extremely thin. Staff was very nice and professional. Breakfast was good."
Best Western Columbia River Waterfront Hotel Astoria
10/10 Excellent
"The lady checking us in at the front desk was EXTREMELY helpful in assisting us with finding a place to eat to meet our dietary needs. She also helped us find out how to go see the local sea lions behind the property. The continental breakfast was good. The room was comfortable and clean, and was pretty soundproof considering it was next to the ice machine and the sea lions kept barking all night! Actually, with my earplugs and the A/C, I only heard them a few times after bedtime. Overall it was a very nice stay and the property was close to the riverwalk restaurants."
"Staff was helpless,, I didn’t make it to my check in due to emergency with water leaks at home so I have to go back home. I reach out to see if I could move it to a different date but no one is able to help. So I’m not gonna stay there from now on"
"Old and musty. You could tell it used to be smoked in or was catching smoke from smokers. Even though it was non smoking, a chair and ash bucket were right outside the door. Fridge is a wine bottle cooler, had to physically pick up and move the microwave to plug it in. Bath mat was a dingy hand towel. All the towels were dingy white and thread bare or simply had holes. It wasn't even worth the discounted price I paid ket alone full price."
"The front desk staff was amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate. The pool hours in my opinion could’ve been a little bit longer. We are disappointed. The hot tub was closed since that’s one of the things we look for when we book a hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast. Our room was nice and clean."
"It was nice to be by the river. We enjoyed watching the ships. We enjoyed the river walk and saw the sea lions “ singing”. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure and hot water. There were several options for breakfast. A very nice place to stay."
