Residence & Conference Centre - Kitchener Waterloo
8/10 Good
"We checked in quite late so we didn't get a chance to really look around much but we did enjoy our stay and would stay again if we were in the area. It is a dormer type accommodation, so don't expect fluffy towels, 6 pillows per bed, etc but everything worked well and the room was very quiet and the area was quite safe. The fridge and microwave were clean and functioning although we did not take advantage of them. There were no cooking utensils, hair dryer etc but we assumed that before registering. A coffee maker would have been nice but there is a McDonalds and Timmy's within a 5 minute brisk walk. The beds were only twins but there were 2 bedrooms if a twin was too small for 2. All things considered we had a nice safe clean stay and were back on the highway easily and promptly."
"I have paid much more for a hotel stay but staying at a Comfort Inn for less, we had a better room. Clean, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and staff very pleasant eager to please. The only thing I questioned (its only two floors with steps) is why the extra fee to have a ground floor room. This means all disabled people who cannot do steps for any medical reasons ( which are many) all get penalized for not being able to do stairs. Anyone having a wheelchair parking permit which indicates all disabilities whether a wheelchair is involved or not would be ample proof of not being able to do stairs. So really no need to discriminate by charging extra just because you cannot do stairs. Something you should reconsider maybe?"
"Everything was good but the hair dryer and coffee machine wasn't working. I had to be careful where I placed my foot in the washroom in my hotel room because the door stop on the floor was located in a place where I could step on it or accidentally kick it."
