"My room was nice but HOT! I called and asked them to fix the air conditioning. It took three calls before someone came. After they looked at it, they said give it time and it will get cooler. It never did. I called customer service no less than seven times before I could get someone to respond. They said they would bring me a fan. Somehow they forgot. After 30 minutes I called again. I asked to speak with the manager who after a while apologized and 15 minutes later brought a fan to the room....

"Quiet but close to attractions. The free shuttle within 2 km was extremely helpful. All the staffs were extremely eager to help in anyway. The pool, workout room spa are all excellent. Room was well appointed and the views are amazing. Mr. Chen at the front desk was very knowledgeable and friendly during the check-in process in addition to every time seeing him. Luigi was very friendly during the checkout process. Thank you to everyone at the Mandarin Oriental. Looking forward to visiting again...

"The best thing about this property was the location.Very Close to The Bund , the metro and Yuyan Gardens area. The room was spacious and the breakfasts were better than some of the other hotels where we stayed in China. Less variety but better taste. Staff was helpful, some only moderately friendly, but I think that’s the way service is in China. "

"I've staying in 4 different hotels and Kerry was one of the best specially with $100 extra we get free breakfast, snacks and dinner and access to playground. their Gym and pools were the best in any other hotel I ever travelled around the world. their staff was carer and friendly. location was great and next to Shanghai international expo."

"We book the bund view and requested for a high floor. staff says the check in would be after 3. Came back at 5 however was told to wait after 6. Manager was not very apologetic until we told him that we have a 3 yr old kid. Thou we got the high floor room in the end but the experience was ruined. The room was normal given the price. Not really spacious compared to our previous hotel. Will not book again. "
