Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organised. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Ameca escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you bring the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, any vital medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items can differ between air carriers, the general rule of thumb is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, drills, spray paint and fireworks. Sports equipment like ski poles, and items that could harm passengers, such as firearms and ammunition, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when picking what to wear during your flight. Consider your choice of footwear with care too, as swelling of the feet and ankles can be a side effect of flying. Flat shoes which are slightly roomy are always a sensible way to go.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are another easy way to help reduce this risk.
