Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well organised. We've put together a list of handy tips that will get your Arvika holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel documents, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a phone crammed with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you plan to catch more than just forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items to ensure you arrive at your destination looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
