Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Asia could be no sweat at all or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive substances, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a wise choice, as are enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
