If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be overwhelming. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints for a pain-free start to your holiday in Asilah. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to take a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
