Wherever you’re jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you’re well organised. We’ve put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Bellagio holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a worry-free travel experience is to pack in advance. So, let’s start with the essentials: passport, travel documents, bank cards and any vital medications. Next, bring on board items that’ll help pass the time, like some electronic devices or a good read. You’ll also want to pack your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, be sure to chuck in toiletries like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a spare change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The best way to ensure a comfortable flight is as simple as your choice of clothes. Prepare for changes in temperature by bringing layers. This will keep you nice and warm if the cabin starts to cool down. Shoes like flip flops and heels are best left in your suitcase. Even though they may be your favourites, opt for flat, closed-toed footwear like slip-ons. Your feet will appreciate it.
- A condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing regular leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a good pair of compression tights or socks also helps reduce the risk.
