We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and seeing the best of Burg in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive goods, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to take a sweater in case you get cold in the cabin.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
