If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be challenging. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a worry-free start to your time in Byblos. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, your medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by donning layers, and opt for flat, slightly roomy footwear like sneakers.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-distance flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
