Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're prepared. We've made a list of top travel tips that will get your Cattolica escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you carry the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a good read. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable products, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and choose shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
