If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be overwhelming. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy tips and enjoy a hassle-free start to your time in Ciudad Del Este. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack in your passport, important documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favourite movies are some fantastic options. If you plan to take a quick snooze, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a few toiletry items to ensure you step off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise choice, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
