Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Froson escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your airplane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pack a sweater as it can get chilly in the cabin. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a wise idea.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance flying is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help reduce this risk.
