Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you prepare well enough. Take a peek at these handy tips that will help get your Fuefuki holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find room in your bag for your phone and charger, medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by wearing layers, and wear flat, slightly roomy shoes like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
