No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've compiled a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Fushun holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you pack the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Secondly, make room in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive goods, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to feel as comfortable as you can. Pick easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to take a jacket in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
