We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be cruising through the airport and having a blast in Jinka in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Next, find a spot in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and choose shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
