If you're poorly prepared, travelling can be tough. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a pain-free start to your time in Lobo. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, important documents, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to catch more than just forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items differs between airlines, the general rule to follow is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, pocket knives, fireworks and fuel. Sports equipment like ski poles, and objects that could harm passengers, such as firearms and ammunition, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a sweater as it can get chilly in the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are also a good choice.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-haul flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are another easy way to help minimize this risk.
