Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've made a list of handy hints that will get your Martil holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you take the right stuff. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good novel. Next, make room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items can differ between air carriers, the general rule of thumb is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes screwdrivers, blades, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sporting equipment like golf clubs, and items that could injure passengers, such as pepper spray and guns, won't be allowed on board either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Opt for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers during long flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and ankles moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
