We’ve got the lowdown on how to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you’ll be zooming through airport security and seeing the best of Miyakojima before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you take the right things. Firstly, you’ll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good novel. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, your important medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don’t have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your priority when picking what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen feet and ankles can be a side effect of flying. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are your best bet.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It’s the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity. Doing leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a good-quality pair of compression tights or socks may also help.
