If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be testing. But there's no need to worry. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a comfortable start to your time in Miyoshi. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you take the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise option, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
