We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and exploring Omis before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare set of clothes and a good novel. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and opt for shoes that are flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
