Wherever you’re coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you’re prepared. We’ve compiled a list of handy tips that will help get your Parma holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you’ve got all the right gear. Firstly, you’ll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a good read. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be the goal when choosing what to wear on your flight. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swollen ankles and feet can be a side effect of flying. Slightly roomy, flat shoes work well.
- The condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular foot and leg exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a good pair of compression socks or tights can also help.
