We’ve rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you’ll be breezing through airport security and seeing the best of Puerto Morelos in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, put in your passport, official ID, credit cards and medications. Next, you’ll want some entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a phone filled with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to take a short nap, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won’t be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to feel as comfortable as you can. Layer up in natural fibers and take a jacket in case you get cold. Go for a pair of flat, well-fitting shoes as it’s possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the journey. Leave the stilettos and heavy boots in your main luggage.
- You’ve probably heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. There’s plenty you can do to mitigate your risk. Wear a pair of compression socks, stay well hydrated and move your legs and feet. Walk the aisles of the cabin or perform some stretches in your seat.
