We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and having a blast in Puno in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a worry-free travel experience is to pack in advance. Start with the essentials: passport, official ID, credit cards and medications. Next, take on board items that'll help pass the time, like some electronic gadgets or a good read. You'll also want to pack your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of headphones. And of course, don't forget to pop in toiletries like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a clean set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and opt for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your legs and feet often.
