If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be a real challenge. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a comfortable start to your time in Royal Belize Island. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an awesome travel experience is to plan ahead. So, let's start with the basics: passport, official ID, credit cards and medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help keep you occupied, like some electronic gadgets or a magazine. It's also smart to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, be sure to chuck in toiletry items like a toothbrush, deodorant and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and take a sweater as it can get quite cool inside the cabin. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are also recommended.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance flying is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression socks and tights are another easy way to help minimize this risk.
