If you're not prepared, air travel can be tough. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy tips for a hassle-free start to your holiday in Sahl Hasheeh. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and pick shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
