We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and having a ball in Salé in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you take the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a clean set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, your important medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a smart choice, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
