If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be tough. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a comfortable start to your time in Soraker. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, important documents, cash and medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some fantastic options. If you plan to take a short nap, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll touchdown looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife lurking in your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pick shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
