We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through the airport and having a blast in Tulagi Island in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a pain-free travel experience is to plan ahead. First up, the essentials: passport, travel documents, bank cards and daily medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you entertained, like some electronic gadgets or a thrilling book. It's also a wise idea to bring your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. Finally, be sure to chuck in toiletries like a toothbrush, lip balm and a fresh change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
