Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Zallaq could be a breeze or it could drag on forever. We've put together some useful tips that will help you start your next great escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a sharp object lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
