Hotel Grinnell Downtown, an Ascend Collection Hotel
4/10 Poor
"The hotel is unique in that it used to be a middle school. It has a school feel to it which is fun. However, the room felt dirty, and it felt like there was no staff anywhere. Almost felt like we were walking the halls of an abandoned hotel. We always had to wait for someone to come to the desk or we were directed to the restaurant for anything we needed (which was also empty until someone came out). The old wood floors in the room are noisy and creaky when you walk so you can’t get up to go to the bathroom without waking everyone else up. Would not recommend. "

Holiday rentals are private properties where you can stay for a few weeks, or just a few days, in Chelsea. Holiday rentals feature amenities like WiFi and washers and dryers so you'll feel right at home. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, a holiday rental can offer a sense of privacy away from public hotel lifts and busy reception areas while still allowing you to travel.
