"Staff very accommodating and pleasant. Room modern and clean. Requested a room safe in advance. Only rooms on the first floor have safes. They honoured our request. No kettle in room but hot water provided by reception (always very cheerful when asked). Good sound proofing in rooms so slept well. Could opt out of daily room clean (sustainability / environmental reasons) which we welcomed. Only negatives were a) blocked / super slow to drain sink and b) one super squeaky bed - maybe broken?...

"The welcome was warm and check-in was quick, efficient but remained friendly and the Reception staff spoke excellent English. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable with a comfy pillow. The bar staff were friendly with great English and were able to recommend a drink for me when I was undecided. Overall, I recommend this hotel with it being on the 4L bus route to take you into Venice. An added bonus is Mestre railway station is a 10 minute walk away if you want to go further afield."

The hosts were also very accommodating to my needs as an older woman, and offered me a room that didn’t require climbing any stairs as soon as one became available. "Ich möchte dieses Hotel unbedingt bewerten. Wir waren zu dritt für eine Nacht mit Frühstück. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Selten sowas gehabt. Leider ging der Fernseher nicht auf unserem Zimmer. Es wurde uns aber nach sehr kurzer Zeit ein neues Zimmer angeboten. Mega:-) Das Frühstück war etwas mager. Jaffe aber sehr gut. Ich würde dieses Hotel für einen Kurzurlaub jederzeit wieder buchen. Viele Grüße aus Bayern"

"Good location which is opposite to train station of Venice Mestre, helpful staffs, nice onsite restaurant which was very handy on my late evening arrival since they open until 10:30pm. The room was smaller than I thought and needs for refurbishing but was clean. No comment on breakfast since I didn't have. No free water was included in the room so I paid 2 euros for a small bottle of still water from the mini bar. Overall, a good stay for 1 night on arrival."

"L’hôtel est très facile d’accès à partir de la gare. Il suffit de prendre un autobus qui vous laisse à environ 10 minutes de marche de l’établissement. Le check-in s’est fait rapidement et nous avons pu accéder à notre chambre avant l’heure prévue, ce qui a été très apprécié. Une carte contenant beaucoup d’informations utiles nous a également été remise à l’arrivée. Pour se rendre à Venise, un arrêt d’autobus se trouve à environ 5 minutes de marche de l’hôtel. "Wir hatten zwei Zimmer, die zum Hauptflur mit einer separaten Tür verschlossen werden konnten, so dass der Eindruck eines kleinen Appartements entstand. Die Lage des Hotels war sehr gut, fußläufig in die Innenstadt von Mestre und zur Tramhaltestelle, um nach Venedig zu fahren. Der Parkplatz war direkt gegenüber dem Hotel. "Many thanks to Frederico and staff for a wonderful stay at Casa Villa Gardenia! Everyone was so helpful with directions and recommendations. There is a grocery store nearby with reasonable prices and lovely pizzeria where we went for a lovely dinner. The breakfast served was very substantial. Clean rooms with modern bathroom. Great area, close to train to Venice. Would stay there again!"

"Staff was friendly and accommodating, breakfast was a good way to start the day. Rooms were clean and cleaned daily. Pool was pay to play which I didn’t care for but is not unusual for Europe. All in all a very nice experience."
