"In addition to expensive rooms you also have to pay for parking. Big dirt spots all over carpet in the room. Dirty bathroom. Gaps all around door frame the bright hall light does not let you sleep. The pictures online are very deceiving. The location is perfect walking distance to wharf, restaurants and breweries. "

"Cons: The A/c was finicky and required being reset a couple of times. The WIFI router also needed to be reset. No welcome book with listings of amenities. The bathroom has no hooks to hang towels or clothes. Just the main rack. The layout was weird. No way to watch TV from the couch. Would have made more sense to move beds down by back wall and move TV to face couch and have desk by front with additional chair for seating. Pros: VERY responsive staff for when we did have issues. Fantastic mattresses and pillows. Very comfy. Very clean in all areas. Convenient access to nearly everything in Monterey and PG. very pleased with the stay."

"The staff was the worst part of this experience. Check in took about 45 min because I was waiting for the front desk person to finish a phone call with no acknowledgment that I was there. The room though was great. We got the king suite with the private hot tub as my Mother's day gift and everything was clean, the robes and slippers were fresh, and the fire place cozy. We'll back for the room but hope the staying is better next time."

"Cheap stay for the weekend. Floors, shower and table tops were dirty. The beds and the pillows were not comfortable. The parking lot was filled with strange people all hours of the day and night. There were people sleeping in their cars and trash everywhere outside. I will never return to this hotel even if it was the last hotel available in Monterey."

"Parking was easy, good area location…smell of chemicals the moment I entered the room, couldn’t sleep well! Seems black mold on walls and door frames…unfortunately, will not be back! "

"We always enjoy our stay at Stargazer. Rooms are clean. Great location. Close to shopping and restaurants. There is a pool and hot tub. There are a couple of large family rooms. I recommend this place."
