"Very friendly staff at Reception, surrounding area horrible, did manage to find a Indian restaurant nearby Simply Delicious Panjabi Cuisine, really good fresh made food, really friendly Manager and waitress but restaurant needs a makeover urgently. Room at the Hotel spotlessly clean, really lovely shower. Was lucky to get a room before 1300 as check in is at 1500, they can never guarantee that service. I must have looked an idiot coz it took me 15 mins of walking around reception/ lounge to find a clean chair or sofa to sit on. Nearly all the upholstered chairs were dirty and stained, and all the others were hard and uncomfortable. People had left their rubbish lying around and not one of the staff in the hour I sat there came and cleaned up. Reception toilets were clean thank goodness. Great service of shuttle in the morning to the airport . Just pay on the bus. I would not stay again."

"Very good staff, as so often with Hilton. Really good barman, handsome too! He made a great Martini and the food there was very good. I had a ploughman’s which was HUGE and delicious. It’s actually a stunning building, beautiful to look at and very calm. It was incredibly quiet in the room, maybe I got lucky, but good dark curtains and nice sheets, pillows and towels. However, there wasn’t a single phone charging device in the whole hotel or in the room, which is mad. I was travelling between homes when my flight was cancelled and I had to leave my phone at reception to be charged. Inconvenient. Staff were very nice about it, but couldn’t help. I think the exterior spaces and the carpet in the room could have been cleaner, but for an airport hotel with that much traffic it really wasn’t that bad and the look of the place is quite inspiring. I would stay there again if I am in the same position."

"For the price, the room needs a refresh urgently, in order for it to keep up with the masses of Heathrow competition. I paid extra for the runway view but the windows are so dirty that you can’t see anything. The T5 Thistle is half the price and on par for amenities, albeit a smaller room."
