"We stayed at the Dakota Hotel for our anniversary and while the hotel itself is undeniably stylish, there were a few disappointing aspects that didn’t match the standard being presented. The interiors are beautiful and the overall atmosphere is lovely, especially for a special occasion. The room was clean and comfortable, and staff were polite and welcoming. "It will definitely be my go to place to stay when travelling to Manchester- i feel safe in the room (it's only a small thing but it's very important to me, it has the catch to go across the door so noone could get in so makes me feel safer) great location, lovely shower and comfy bed, what more could you want."

"Such a great hotel -- loved that it was apartment style with lots of amenities in the unit. We were able to do laundry to minimize the amount of clothing we had to pack, and utilized the kitchen to make tea and have simple breakfasts in the morning. Great location, close to the train station and easy to get around the city. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again."

"The guy with the short hair and contacts at reception was rude. Didnt want to help with bags and was overall very awkward. However the night shift guy ( European looking) was very generous and helpful. "

"Nice large room with comfortable beds. The room was very noisy due to an event close by that ended at 11pm. We found bread crumbs and an old chip on the floor. The floor left bits on our feet. For the price it should have been quiet and clean. The room cost £261 with £20 for parking. No breakfast included. Not good value for money. When I booked it also said 8 minute walk to AO Arena but you actually have to get a tram which takes 13 minutes."

"Worse experience ever. Check-in was meant to be 5pm but I wasn’t given access until around 8:30pm due to their own failure to provide entry details, despite repeated attempts to contact them. When I finally got in, the room was clearly used and filthy with towels on the floor and with rubbish left behind. I then had to wait even longer to be moved to a different room. This is basic hospitality and they completely failed. The staff didn’t even offer a simple apology or any sort of compensation,...
