"The location/view is what sold me. The view is to live for! The facilities are outdated but satisfactory and clean. I’d spring for the ocean view only. It’s the value of the hotel!"

Shutters on the Banks

"We booked Shutters for a 3 day beach trip. The staff were all very helpful. The poolside room we stayed in was clean and had ample room. The only "bad" thing was the toilet. It was loud. We joke every time flushing it. "Whoosh!" The complimentary breakfast was available. There were a bit of options. I would stay at Shutters again for that price point."

"The staff was very helpful and friendly. I have a few complaints, some of which cannot be controlled, but it's good to be aware of. The first being right by our room, the ceiling was completely exposed and I felt very uncomfortable when walking under. One day they were doing maintenance during our stay and an Aerosol can set off the fire alarm which didn't turn off for at least 10 minutes. The second was centipedes in our room on the blinds. It didn't mind me and my friend too much, but again, just something to note. The third, the walls are EXTREMELY thin. You can hear every little sound in the hallway and outside which makes it hard to sleep in the morning. The rooms were fine, they definitely haven't been deep cleaned in quite some time, and they have had their fair share of the "landlord treatment". Overall, you get what you pay for. It served the purpose we needed it for, but just lower your expectations when staying here. It is conveniently located by many shops and restaurants, and only 14 minutes from the beach. It's a place I see myself returning to if I'm on a tight budget."

"Room was very clean and looked updated. No charge for parking, that's a plus. Laundry/room service is not at all. As a matter of fact. Please be careful booking your trip on any site as the hotel does not follow the pricing that's listed at book (they added charges for housekeeping). But did not offer any house keeping services while we were there. The hotel add charges to your bill. Sneaky."

"Not crowded nice pool next to beach access you do have to walk across the street to go to the beach pool and front desk. There was trash from the previous person in the freezer and also in the drawers which was surprising but for the price I don’t really care there wernt bugs it didn’t stink the tub was clogged though"
