"Great location for those flying in or out of Providence airport. "

"We stayed in the historic side of the property. The location and views were nice, but overall the property (the room, the common areas and the pool area) were dated and not clean. Examples - heat not working in one of the two rooms of our suite, extremely thin walls in between rooms and hall areas, pool area was dirty (dirt and clumps of hair throughout the deck) and had no towels the entirety of our stay, bathroom in our room had stains on the floor and counter that I cleaned myself. The front desk staff was as helpful as they could be, but overall there were just too many issues and areas of concern. I would not stay there again."

"The property was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the water, and we were able to see the sunset over the Newport Bridge. The breakfast and service were excellent. We look forward to our return!"

"This was a beautiful property. The guy who checked us in having me laughing so. He was great. Beautiful room, comfortable bed and enjoyed the inside of the inn. Had never stayed in an inn. It was like a hallmark movie to me. I loved everything about it"

The only thing was from my experience working at a bed and breakfast that the housekeeping should double check their work because I found left over food in the microwave from previous guest and the sink in the bathroom was still dirty."

"I had a very disappointing experience at Colonial Inn. First, I was placed in a smoking room—something I didn’t even realize still existed. The smell was overwhelming and completely unacceptable. It was so bad that we had to keep the windows open the entire time and even went out to buy a candle just to make the room somewhat bearable. When I asked to switch rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked, so we were stuck dealing with it. To make matters worse, they charged a $100 security deposit, and it has now been two weeks with no refund. When I called to follow up, the staff member I spoke to was extremely rude and didn’t even bother checking whether the deposit had been released. Between the condition of the room, lack of accommodation, and poor customer service, this stay fell far below expectations. I would not recommend staying here."
