"I stayed here, but there was no lantern or scissors provided, and the lantern in my friend’s unit was broken too. So I asked for a replacement, but I was told there wasn’t one available and to just deal with it. I asked them to help resolve the issue, but all they said was to talk to the manager in the morning. I think that is very poor customer service."

"The building and grounds need maintenance. There's rotting window sills and rain damage on the ceiling, spots of bleach on the carpets and the doorknob of a closet came off in my hand. The TV in the room is incredibly small, the size of a computer screen. You don't come to a hotel to watch TV but like showers, you expect a nice experience. The breakfasts were ok, but not great."

"Stayed here for 2 nights for the Travelers Chamionship in Cromwell (bout an 18 minute drive from the hotel). When researching for this trip there were some mixed reviews about this place... I have come to set the record straight! 1st off, we're talking about a hotel for $125 a night, not the Ritz. That being said- this place was a bargain for the price. Sketchy area? Ehhh.... I get where you're coming from but I think that's just kinda CT in general. 2 queen sized beds were nice and comfy....

"Horrible room, foul odor in the bathroom, and the door didn’t close, no soap, no tissues, no coffee maker. Run, don’t walk, away from this place."

"The room had a humid musty smell as soon as I arrived. Turned on the AC after one hour realized it wasn't working. A staff member came up to the room to check the AC still didn’t work. She said she would leave a note that the AC was not working and to have our room changed for the next day and refund us 1 day. That night I had to pay more money and went some where else since it was 78 degrees and the musty smell was giving me allergies. The next day I called to ask if they had another room...

"Our room was dark and the light on the wall was not working. There was a standing lamp but no outlet to plug it into, so we made do with two desk lamps. The bathroom was a little shabby but the bed was comfortable and clean and the woman at the desk was really nice and friendly. The AC also worked well."

"The first room had bugs and dead bugs all over the room. Bathroom had a spider on the ceiling and smelt musty. Second room was a bit cleaner but the shower curtain was dirty along with the shower floor. Blinds and curtain didn’t fully cover for privacy"

"Amanda was lovely: very helpful and she made such delicious breakfasts every morning fresh. The house is charming. It feels like it’s in the middle of the quaintest tiny villages but Hartford is under 30 minutes away and New Haven was an easy 45 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"The place is in dire need of a makeover. In the bathroom... No exhaust fan... Hinges and towel racks are rusted... Wall paper is peeling off the walls... Tub/shower faucet is connected wrong. Hot is cold and Cold is hot... Door has noticeable cracks. The front half of the room had no lights. Until this place get renovated, I will not stay there again."

"We really enjoyed 2 nights at Westbrook Inn. The bed is comfortable, breakfast is delicious, house is beautiful, staff is supper kinda and helpful. Overall Westbrook is a cute town and we certainly feel rejuvenated and happy in this anniversary trip."

"The room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pool is around back and you have to walk all the way around the building to get to it but that said though not convenient, it was private back there. Shower was adequate but not great. All and all good experience and very reasonably priced."
