"We stopped for one night on our way back home.
Overall we had a good experience here, though the room was pricey for what it was.
The front desk staff were very kind and friendly; this stands out as a strength of this property. Our room was roomy and the bed was comfortable and felt newer. Everything we used inside our room worked. The property seemed well maintained on the exterior and the management provides doggy bags and a waste container. The breakfast seemed plentiful and offered a good variety of options.
The hotel is in a great location, close to the expressway for easy access for a quick overnight stay and close to lots of restaurants. I appreciated the restaurant list the hotel provided, especially staff recommendations because local recs are usually the best.
Our room could use some updates. The carpet was old. The shower worked well but the surround was yellowed and had black spots around the top ledge. The sofa was worn. The cabinets were also older and worn. Maybe because we were in a dog friendly room.
The rate for the room was high relative to its condition. The charge to have our dog was high for a one night stay ($75). Maybe Charleston is an expensive city but $240 is significantly overpriced for the quality of room we had."
"The room was clean and spacious. Was comfortable and close to the hospital. The only complaint would be that it would be nice to have an elevator in the building for people that aren’t able to walk upstairs."
"This is a great property. Wonderfully clean. Our ONLY recommendation would be to give the young woman working check in some help at 6PM. It's not hard to anticipate a rush to check in at that hour and she was hustling the best she could be there were two stations and only she covering with a line. That did not deter from a very good stay at a really good property. Would highly recommend."
"Easy access. Staff present at the desk. Convenient location. Safe parking lot. It was raining when we arrived, so I was soaked because there is no covered pathway from garage to entrance. The elevator and hallway smelt like weed"
