"We stayed in room 220 on 1st floor. About 15 steps to room. (In 3 sections). No lifts. I have walking difficulties but steps we ok. Room clean & basic. Large corner balcony overlooking the sea. Air con in lounge. On arrival Maria had left key's & instructions for us, easy! Pool area nice, clean & peaceful. Other than breakfast option which we didn't use. There is no food or drink service on site. But supermarket outside was very good for supplies. For someone with walking issue...

"I enjoyed a 5 night break at Sands. A little apprehensive due to several negative reviews however my experience was very positive. The rooms are a good size and have everything you need including full fridge freezer and dishwasher. The entire complex is very clean and is thoughtfully laid out. I enjoyed the lane swimming and the surrounding area is perfect for running. I also used the gym several times. Shops and restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk. "Great time had. Their greatest asset is their staff. All warm and welcoming. Couldn’t do enough for you. Remembered me and my drink preference from a year ago! Don’t know how to they do it. Food options were more limited this time. But more space for more guests. Still excellent food though. Room was lovely. Very comfortable beds and spacious. Grounds very clean. Very clean through out. "Room was in very bad condition stains on the ceiling and walls, furniture and doors falling to pieces and unsafe also no sockets we had booked a superior room and it looked nothing like the pictures. The food however was great and the staff were very nice the outside pool area and animation team were also fantastic. The location was perfect right on the beach and next to the square with a beautiful walk into Puerto del Carmen over all an ok hotel if they had the rooms upgraded it would be fab."
