"Breakfast had these awesome ratings but it was really, really poor. Parking was in an adjacent hotel but not allowed outside Thatch which was odd when there are a minimal amount of rooms. It meant parking, carrying bags and then parking again. There was limited staff and you had to search for them if requiring anything. for instance the coffee machine was out of water and we had to wait 20-30 minutes for a member of staff to appear in the lounge to refill. "The room was clean enough. The rest of the house is dusty on the floors and stairs. Innkeepers could put some effort in tidying up the place. The breakfast was fine. I saw comments from prior guest reviews about no proteins for breakfast. I found that they offered small containers of activia and offered peanut butter as an option for a spread on toast.
